FAQ
What sizes do Petit Plouf sunsuits come in?
Our sunsuits are available in sizes for babies and toddlers, ranging from 0 (6-12 months) to 3 (24-36 months). For detailed sizing information, please refer to our sizing guide.
How should I care for the sunsuits and hats?
To keep your sunsuit in the best condition, follow the recommended care guidelines:
-
Rinse with fresh, cold water after use to remove chlorine, salt and other residues.
-
Machine wash at 30℃ or below with the zipper fully fastened.
-
Use a gentle cycle and mild detergent.
-
Do not bleach, tumble dry or dry clean.
-
Iron only on low temperature.
-
Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric. Gently squeeze out excess water to maintain its shape and elasticity.
-
Avoid rough surfaces as it can cause snags or pilling.
- While our sunsuits are designed to be durable, we recommend avoiding rough surfaces like concrete or asphalt when your little one is wearing them. These surfaces can cause the fabric to snag or wear down faster. For the longest life, encourage play on grass, sand, or softer surfaces.
Are Petit Plouf sunsuits made from sustainable materials?
Yes! We are proud to use high-quality, certified REPREVE® polyester (recycled polyester) to create our sunsuits and hats. This supports our commitment to sustainable, slow fashion, helping to reduce waste and lessen environmental impact.
What is your return/exchange policy?
We offer exchanges or store credit for items returned in original condition within 14 days of purchase. Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Please see our Refunds and Returns Policy for full details.
What is the UPF rating on your products?
Our products offer maximum sun protection with a UPF 50+ rating. UPF 50+ measures how effectively a fabric blocks ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun, indicating that only 1/50th (or 2%) of the sun's UV rays can penetrate the fabric. To enhance sun safety, we recommend pairing our products with additional measures such as applying sunscreen on exposed areas and using sunglasses. Additionally, our products comply with the Australian Sun Protective Clothing Standard AS4399:2020, which is considered more protective than the previous 2017 Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 4399:2017.
Where are your products made?
Petit Plouf’s sunsuits and hats are made in a small manufacturing company in Vietnam.
Where do you ship to?
We currently only ship to New Zealand and Australia. If you would like shipping to other countries while we set ourselves up, please get in touch. In the meantime, please refer to our Shipping Policy.
What packaging do you use?
We use recycled (non-virgin) plastic courier bags. While we would love to use compostable alternatives, their limited shelf life doesn’t align with our shipping needs.
We encourage you to reuse our courier bags - whether for shipping, storage, or other creative purposes.
When you're finished with them, simply drop them off at a Soft Plastics Recycling bin along with your other soft plastics.
